James has been taking photographs since the age of eleven. He acquired his first 35mm camera at the age of 14 and has been using 35mm format almost exclusively until 2002 when he switched to Digital.
He has used various cameras in his career and currently uses Sony Alpha utilising his Minolta lenses and Panasonic Lumix with Leica lens.
He has taken photographs all over the world and provided photography for various organisations and companies including The Sultanate of Oman, Historical Society of Oman, The Saudi Arabian Government, the British Military, a House Boat business in Kashmir and the Southern Explorer in South Africa.
He has won awards in the various competitions he has entered.
He currently spends his time with his wife and best friend Margaret between the UK and the Lower South Coast of Kwa Zulu Natal South Africa where they have a house.
He enjoys digitally manipulating his photography to provide interesting shapes and colours.
